Jama Adams forges powerful coalitions and strategies.

Currently, she is on the campaign trail in the battleground state of Arizona. Previously, she helped social impact organizations harness generative AI in time for the 2024 election.

She serves on the Global Giving Tech + Innovation Council and empowers her People in Common podcast listeners to leverage their voices, time, and resources to drive meaningful change.

As COO of Responsible Innovation Labs, Jama led the multi-sector working group of industry stakeholders, civil society, researchers, and policymakers to develop the Responsible AI Framework, while scaling the organization.

Jama raised $1.8 billion in just 12 weeks for Commonwealth Fusion Systems, unlocking clean, limitless fusion energy to address the climate crisis.

The first hire on the Giving Pledge, she grew it to $1 trillion in three years, growing the ranks to nearly 100 billionaires (now $3 trillion from 240 signers).

In other roles – founding consulting firms, on the Omidyar impact investing team, for the City of New York, on political campaigns and Capitol Hill, and at Harvard Kennedy School – Jama has orchestrated collaborations among elite influencers, frontline organizers, and business executives to catalyze systemic change.

Jama holds a B.A. in Political Science from the University of California, Los Angeles and a Master of Public Policy from Harvard University’s Kennedy School of Government, where she co-taught a graduate-level course on community organizing with Marshall Ganz and wrote a graduate thesis on civic engagement. She was valedictorian and received and a full-tuition scholarship as a Kennedy Fellow.
